Clint has worked in various fields over the years. He is a qualified chef, support worker, farmhand and an elite athlete.
Here’s a little of Clint’s story – Clint had a farm accident in 2014, and after a great effort from the team at The Alfred, Clint became a Below Knee Amputee.
After lots of hard work and help from some fantastic health teams, family and friends, Clint commenced training in Triathalons with his eye on the Olympic Games in 2020.
Clint’s results in the Gatorade series were consistent and showed improvement every event. This lead to a Wildcard entry in the ITU Oceana International Championships.- Para Triathalon.
Consistent results have led to a recommendation to compete in the ITU World Para Triathalon Series on the Gold Coast, where he held his own. This led to international competitions where he was on the podium in his first event overseas.
Clint competed successfully, while working part time with us, and reached 7th in the world in his category. Unfortunately, his shoulder wore out and he is now speaking to workplaces encouraging safe work practices, assists with Support Coordination and the plan management.
Clint has a lovely little family which keep him busy and he trains daily to work towards his next professional athlete goals.
